Made it to HK! Chengdu tomorrow.

We'll, we are FINALLY ON THE WAY!!!

Soon to be a family of SIX!

While we are thrilled to be on the way, it is a bummer that we are leaving town when my Father-in-law is still in the hospital.  It looks like he will be in for several more weeks.  When Jaden got to the hospital the night before we left, he asked if everyone could gather so he could pray for Marty.  This was his prayer, "Dear a Heavenly Father, thank you for the food that is coming.  (There was no food coming...) please make YeYe better and some stuff. And thank you for the food that is coming (um, nope, still no food coming...) and please make Baba's knee better and some stuff.  Amen!!"  So, either he was hungry or we need to pray more often that doesn't include a meal.

We are about 5 hours from HK and the flight has gone exceptionally well.  Kudos to whoever it was that suggested melatonin for Jaden!  He fell asleep quickly and has been asleep for about 7 hours.  Whoot!! When we got on the plane, we had the bulkhead with a random lady.  She quickly asked the steward to move her.  Did I mention that Jaden was excited about the trip?  So far, all of the flights have been smooth and on time.

***Reminder to me...don't allow the travel agent to book us on a puddle jumper to Chicago next time.***

I can't help but wonder how this return flight with an almost 2 year old will go, but I am definitely appreciating the ease of this one.  We are on Cathay and the food has been good and the attendants very nice.  They allowed us to pre-board due to Jaden.  I was glad for the chance but surprised.  I don't think of him as a baby/small child but I guess he is.  They gave him a little backpack with colors and stickers and kiddo sized headphones; I thought that was a nice touch.

On another positive note, when I was verifying our registration at the Marriott, I noticed that we had been upgraded to an executive suite.  Not sure why but ok.  :) I'm not exactly sure how we are going to get to the hotel, hopefully, they'll have a shuttle.  We have 4 BIG suitcases plus our backpacks, somehow, we did not stick to the travel light philosophy.

When we started our airport adventures today, Jaden wanted to play a long drawn out rendition of "plane crashing into the ocean" over and over and over ... and over.  Tim started getting a little nervous ... until the plane bounced up to the moon, then he knew that we were ok after all and that Jaden was not having precognition.  :) I'm not quite sure that our neighbors appreciated the dramatization.  ;)

For prayer requests today, I would asked that we all give praise for the fact that Jaden does not have esp and continued prayers for travel mercies and inner peace for all 4 of my kids.  (Wow, that feels a little weird to say.) Blessings.

We made it to HK!  We are at the Marriott, snug in our room.  I just can't say enough about how easy the flight and transfers went and how we'll Jay did.
