Homestudy approved

Both our homestudy agency and our placing agency have approved our homestudy now.  At this point we wait to get the final copies in the mail and then we start with US immigration paperwork.  We are about 10 days or so behind our timeline with Jay, so we will have some idea as far as timeframes go.  With China having some new rules in place, I expect that China's end of the adoption process may take longer this time but who knows?
This child that is to become ours has some scary medical issues that I hope we are able to handle.  She should be here just before we get our fourth family doc in the family, so I expect it will all work out.  Brain things are scary.

Homestudy to BAAS

The homestudy process is so bizarre.  They come in to your home with plenty of warning and look around and then tell you that after 3 adoptions, you're still ok for the fourth.  No new murder convictions or FBI issues, so go ahead.  Only it takes WEEKS for this endorsement, thousands of dollars and many intrusive questions.  Then we get to send is to our placing agency who also take weeks to review it and then finally you get to proceed with what everyone knew you would be able to do anyway.  Weird.
