From Sad to Excited

We had been calling our agency about our homestudy for about a week.  Our caseworker sent our completed report to the agency for approval about 2 weeks ago and we had not heard anything.  We had called to see if there was any progress but had been told not to worry that it takes 2 weeks for approval about a week ago.  Over the weekend we realized that we were on the 2 week mark with no word yet and so Tim sent an email to our agency.  She told him that the lady that does the approval had been out of town but that she would check for us on Monday to see how much longer.  Monday, we got an email saying not only was it not completed, but they couldn't show that they had ever received it!  We forwarded this to our caseworker but as we had gotten a copy of the email, we knew it had been sent.  We all assume that it must have gone to their spam folder.  Needless to say, I was very sad to think of 2 weeks absolutely wasted.  :(

Rebecca re-sent the report immediately and Tim sent an email back to the agency asking if we could please be put in line for approval from when it would have been received, not for that day.  Several hours later we got an email saying that it was approved!  Whoot!

We picked it up on Tuesday from Dillon, went straight to FedEx and sent it our for overnight delivery ... and Wednesday morning we got notice that it had been received in Texas!  Next step...fingerprinting.  :)

I had just blogged that God's timing is perfect and I was (am) trying to work on not getting upset and angry when things don't happen the way I expect them to.  I was sad but managed not to be ugly or angry or mad about any of it.  Sometimes I have to work to keep the Mama Bear from coming out.  I don't want any avoidable delays in bringing our child home!  Thanks for all the prayers and support.
Blessings y'all,
Tracy
